Already looking forward to the third in the series. I remember my students being dismayed by some of the details about the practices of indigenous peoples in north America in Shepherd Krech The Ecological Indian --the deliciousness of buffalo calf taken in utero escaped them. It also remains a challenge to travel in Europe as a vegan or vegetarian unless you have a chance to cook for yourself.
