Thanks for this. While I take your point about the particular position of the student/intellectual outside the global north, I would respond that much of what you describe can be found within it. I applaud your willingness to continue the struggle. I take solace from G.K. Chesterton who wrote. "People tell you that a thing worth doing is worth doing well, but I would argue that a thing that is truly worth doing is worth doing badly."
